Maxim Government Services is currently seeking a Cardiothoracic Anesthesiologist for a full-time position supporting David Grant Medical Center at Travis AFB, CA.

Details:

  • This is an actively Awarded Contract
  • $250/hr. regular rate; $20/hr. on-call rate
  • Liability Insurance is covered by Maxim & AFB
  • 1 year period of performance plus 2 option years (3 total)

Schedule:

Anesthesia Flight provides 24/7 coverage, which requires variable shifts. Regular Hours: These shifts vary in length from 8, 10, 12, 16 or 24-hour shifts, Monday through Sunday. Contractors will work up to an average of 35-40 regular hours per week (averaged over 4 weeks). Weekday Offsite Call occurs approximately up to 12 times per month, any day Mon-Fri 6:00 a.m.-6:00 a.m. but often starts later when working a 10 or 12- hr Regular Hours shift. There exists the possibility of working a full 24-hour shift if called back. Weekend Offsite Call occurs approximately 4 times per month, Sat 6:00 a.m.-Sun 6:00 a.m. and/or Sun 6:00 a.m.-Mon 6.a.m. with the possibility of working the full 24 hour shift if called in. Holiday Weekend Call is Fri 6:00 a.m.- Tue 6:00a.m., approximately 2-3 times per year.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Graduate of an approved medical school; completion of a Fellowship in cardiothoracic anesthesia or 50 cardiothoracic cases a year within the last 24 months.

Experience: Minimum 2 years experience, may include fellowship/residency

License/Certification and Training: Active/unrestricted license in CA; Board Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology or the American Osteopathic Board of Anesthesiology; BLS/ACLS/PALS; Certification (obtained or in progress with anticipated completion date within one year) in advanced perioperative Transesophageal echocardiography by the National Board of Echocardiography. Testamur status accepted.
