- 10/21/19 for a minimum of 3-6 months and possibly ongoing
- Schedule
- Shifts are 5 8-hour shifts or 4 10-hour shifts
- Clinical Details
- Types of cases: general cases are a large percentage of the case load and the patients often have many comorbidities, increasing their risk of complications while under anesthesia requiring the clinician to have advanced skills.
- Will utilize either Gen'l Anesthesiologist or CV Anesthesiologist but the preference is for CV.
- Generalist must be willing to take call and do the following: Major Vascular Thoracic Transplants (excluding heart and lung), Neuro, General surgery, Orthopedics and appropriate blocks
- Cardiac must be able to do above plus all cardiac cases including VADS and transplant (Cardiac doesn't need to do blocks)
- Patients per day/Volume: 40-60 (300 beds and 33 operating rooms).
- Requirements
- BC - ANES
- Active ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS
- TEE Certified
- Cardiac ANES fellowship
- Active KY license
- Must possess the desire to participate in complex cases where the skill level of the anesthesiologist can support the very sick patient.
- Call
- 6 calls/month with 2 being weekends on call (2 or 3 shifts per weekend)
- Paging system, Response time required: 30 minutes.
- Support Staff
- Supervising required, up to 4 providers
