SCHEDULE:

- No Nights, Weekends, or On-Call
COMPENSATION:
- $270,000 to $300,000 Base Salary, negotiable dependent upon experience

COMPANY PROFILE:
This private practice has been offering a full range of psychiatry and psychotherapy services to patients and families throughout North Carolina since 2014. They see patients in long-term care facilities and currently serve more than 150 facilities across the state, with a staff of 20 clinicians and a dedicated support team.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Medical Director will have both clinical (70%) and administrative (30%) responsibilities at long-term care facilities. Administrative duties can be performed remotely / from home.
This role involves some local travel and the Medical Director will be provided with both a company car and a driver/medical assistant.
The Medical Director will see approximately 60 to 70 patients per week.
The Medical Director is a critical leadership position and the duties of the role include, but are not limited to:
- overall supervision of clinical operations
- supervision of physician extenders
- oversight of provider, peer, and self audits
- collaborate with supervisees for complex cases
- ensure a culture of responsiveness to facility staff, families, and patients
- oversight and management of after-hours and weekend call schedule
- perform QA visits to all facilities at least once per 6 months
- regularly review physician extender schedules to assess quality care and productivity
- liaise with facility management/staff to assess satisfaction with services
- oversight of company compliance
- oversight of and collaborate with the director of psychotherapy
- oversight of medical scribe operations/systems
- oversight of training of medical providers and medical scribes
- innovative management of programming/systems to enhance quality and productivity
- cross coverage of inpatient psychiatric admissions at behavioral health centers
The practice uses an EHR system.
REQUIREMENTS:
- North Carolina medical license
- DEA
- Board Certification or Eligibility, Psychiatry
- no experience required; recent graduates welcome to apply
