Medical Center is seeking a Medical Director for their Addictions Treatment center.

Medical Director of Addictions Treatment Services is responsible for clinical and medical oversight as well as the quality of care across all Addiction Services Programs. Oversees medical operations in partnership with VP of Addictions and CMO. Provides direct patient care, supervision, training, teaching, consultation to clinical and medical staff and general leadership regarding policies and any laws or regulations.

Responsibilities: Oversees all aspects of medical operations of two Detox Programs, two Methadone Programs, Clinical Stabilization Services, 3 long term residential programs and two OBOT programs and current grant-funded Addictions services which can vary over time. Provides professional support to nursing staff, attending to medical assessments and care of patients, signs treatment orders, review and support of treatment protocols and, for urgent treatment issues, meeting with patients and conducts rounds at ATS programs. Provides medical oversight for the delivery of Suboxone and Vivitrol programs, including providing direct patient care. Provide addiction medicine consultative services across the organization as needed. Provides direct patient care at OTC and Buprenorphine clinics. Review medical prescriptions and presenting problems for clients seeking admission that require medical clearance. Willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Provides physician on call coverage for Addictions Programs 6 weekends and one holiday per year; participates in vacation coverage during normal business hours. Coverage is typically managed via telephone, but in-person coverage may be required at times.
