A start-up addiction medicine clinic in Virginia is seeking an FM, IM, or add. med physician for ongoing locum tenens coverage. This is a Medical Director position.
This position is 8 hours per week and the facility is flexible on the schedule (one 8-hour day or two 4-hour days). There are no call requirements.
The Medical Director is responsible for providing supervision to the Medical Assistant, Pharmacist, and Nurses. Candidates must be BC or BE in addiction medicine/family medicine or internal medicine, must have DEA, ASAM preferred, Suboxone waiver, successful completion of state required background check and required trainings. Candidates will preferably have training or experience in treating persons with opiate addiction and will have excellent oral and written communication skills.
Credentialing for this assignment takes around 2 weeks.
