Description: Hiring a Psychiatrist Addiction Medicine for a leading provider of comprehensive behavioral health provider. Seeking a Board-Certified Adult Psychiatrist for an inpatient mental health service unit for various sites in New York. Our client provides a comprehensive inpatient and outpatient mental health services, addiction treatment programs and crisis services. The Psychiatrist Addiction Medicine inpatient opportunity has two substance abuse units, a 50-bed unit, which provides a significant treatment program for adults with acute addiction symptoms who need hospitalization. Its patients are referred, voluntarily admitted, and involuntarily from their emergency room and surrounding community services.

Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough patient clinical histories and develops patient care charts, ensuring completeness and accuracy
• Assess and admit patients along with coverage of the inpatient psychiatric units for intermediate length of stays
• Understanding of affective & psychotic disorders, Crisis stabilization, dual focus, substance abuse & addiction
• Works in col­lab­o­ra­tion with oth­er health-care pro­vid­ers with­in the clin­ical team and to pro­vide com­pre­hen­sive patient care
• Continues stan­dards of care as de­scribed in Prin­ci­ples of Prac­tice, pro­to­cols, and Scope of Prac­tice as approved by the State of New York Board of Medicine

Education Requirements:

• Certified American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology
• New York State Medical License
• Minimum 2 years of experience
