Seeking a Contract Specialist to support the Risk Management/Compliance Officer with organization wide contract development, review, facilitation, execution and researching required legal/regulatory contract terms. Provides administrative support to assist with all phases of contact management process.


Compensation:
$24.59, non-exempt position

Responsibilities Include:

  • Responsible for drafting and reviewing new contracts, reviewing and disseminating agreements, Memo of Understanding (MOU) to responsible parties for input and facilitation on both internal and external contracts/agreements received.
  • Prepares contractual agreements researching required terms and content.
  • Collaborates with Risk/Compliance team as well as contacting and collaborating with outside counsel, attorneys, paralegals, and regulatory staff if needed for high level/high risk terms
  • Ensure terms of contractual agreements are written in language that is legally binding and in accordance with requirements of the hospital and protections of FTCA
  • Uploads and maintains storage of MOU’s, agreements, contacts and legal documents
  • Proofreads, edits and fact-checks agreements , contracts and MOU’s or accuracy and consistency , according to current internal contract standards

Education:

  • Associates degree in paralegal studies, legal assistant or related field required
  • Minimum of 1 (one) year of healthcare experience is required
  • A combination of education and/or experience that provides the necessary skills required may be considered
  • Bachelors degree is preferred
