We're seeking a BE/BC Addiction Psychiatrist or Addiction Medicine specialist. You will be responsible for providing clinical care, assessment, and treatment of patients with substance use disorders (SUD) in a mental health institute located in New Bedford, MA. You will work collaboratively with a team of mental health professionals, including therapists, social workers, and a team of psychiatrists, to provide the best possible care for patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
  • Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Prescribe and manage medications, including those for opioid use disorder (MOUD).
  • Coordinate care with other providers involved in the patient's treatment, including primary care physicians, therapists, and social workers.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case conferences to discuss patient care and treatment plans.
  • Provide education and training to other healthcare professionals on SUD treatment and management.
Qualifications:
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Board certification or eligibility in psychiatry and addiction medicine
  • Valid medical license in the state of Massachusetts
  • Experience in the treatment of SUD, including the use of MOUD
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based care environment
