Part Time Medical Director for MAT Clinic – Dayton, OH

Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday – 15 hours weekly. Available to be on call during clinical hours.

MedMark Treatment Centers is looking for a full time Medical Director that is dedicated to helping patients in their road to recovery.

Primary Job Function:

  • Admitting Patients for Methadone and Buprenorphine Treatment.
  • Physician will obtain a history and physical exam.
  • Documentation into the EMR, entering orders for methadone or buprenorphine dosing in the EMR.
  • Consistently monitoring patient medication levels in conjunction with the Treatment Center Director, Counselors and Dosing Nurses.
  • Consulting on patients that are high risk and doing annual medication reviews.
  • Willing to supervise Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners
  • Other related duties as determined by supervisor

Qualifications | Education | Certifications:

  • Boarded certified or Eligible in any specialty. If not Board Certified you will be required to obtain Board Certification or become a Certified Addiction Specialist within the first 24 months of employment.
  • Must have at least 6 months of Addiction Medicine and Primary Care experience.
  • Must be licensed in the state of Ohio.
  • Will be overseeing/working with Nurse Practitioners
  • Physicians must be able to sign off on NP/PA charts.
  • Must be able to interact compassionately with a diverse population.
  • Drug rehabilitation training/knowledge is helpful
  • Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.
