TITLE - PHYSICIAN MD/DO (Addiction Medicine)
LOCATION - Brooklyn and Manhattan, NY
PAY Rate - $270 - $300K Plus benefits and Sign-on Bonus
Schedule - All shifts available(Weekdays Only)

**Sign on bonus, Board Certified in Addiction, if you're not you have to be willing to get board certified within 18 months (highly prefer addiction certified) **

Description:
  • The Medical Director will be responsible for providing medical services to program participants within the Addiction Medicine department and providing clinical supervision and support to full-time and part-time providers delivering care in the various START programs.
  • The selected candidate will work in tandem with the Executive Director and Director of Clinical Operations to ensure/promote appropriate service provision.
  • The Medical Director will conduct medical exams, assess and manage withdrawal symptoms and provide histories and physicals.
  • They will consult with counselors, attend treatment teams and contribute to the development of treatment plans as part of an active multi-disciplinary team.
  • In addition, they will provide medical consultation services to medical, nursing, and clinical staff in the hospital and community-based settings as indicated.
Requirements:

Candidates should have the following:

  • Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Board Certification.
  • Licensed or eligible to practice medicine in the state of New York with active DEA.
  • Three to five years of extensive experience managing withdrawal symptoms and the provision of medication-assisted treatment.
  • Controlled substance license/ Suboxone license, DEA license/DEA registration.
  • Specific training and/or experience in the field of substance abuse; Fellowship in Addiction Medicine, Board Certification in Addiction Medicine required.
