The Hospitals of Providence opened its new Transmountain Campus in El Paso, Texas on January 17, 2017.

The 106-bed teaching hospital is a collaboration between Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso and The Hospitals of Providence.

The facility is designed to serve the healthcare needs of El Paso and Southern New Mexico, while also providing a world-class training facility for up to 100 medical residents across a multi-year program.

This is a unique opportunity for a dynamic, entrepreneurial clinician to be a key participant in the process of establishing a residency program in Family Medicine. The candidate will provide inpatient and outpatient care, assist in curriculum development, supervise residents and provide teaching experiences for medical students from the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine. Interest in providing obstetrical services is encouraged, but not required.

The position requires a M.D/D.O degree, completion of an ACGME approved residency in Family Medicine, Board certification and a minimum of 4 years of clinical experience in family medicine, with two years as a core faculty member in an ACGME-accredited family medicine residency program.
