The Division of Gastroenterology at The Ohio State University College of Medicine is seeking a Gastroenterology Hospitalist at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. Responsibilities include inpatient and consult patient care and general inpatient endoscopy (no ERCP or EUS) at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in gastroenterology. This is an academic position that emphasizes patient care, house staff and fellowship training, and medical education. Clinical faculty members participate in all aspects of patient care.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 1st shift , no call, no weekends, no holidays.

Requires: MD license; Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology; would also consider EXPERIENCED Internal Medicine Hospitalist Board Certified in Internal Medicine.

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center completed a $1.1 billion expansion at the end of 2014 that includes the new James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute and Critical Care Center. The new James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute’s state-of-the-art facilities will allow significantly more patients and families to access Ohio State’s unique and exceptional services. It will allow the Medical Center to serve 310,000 patients annually while supporting high-quality, patient centric P4 medicine. Another recent announcement for the medical center this year: we will be building another brand new hospital on our main campus that will open in the next 5-7 years. Once this new hospital opens, we will have over 2000 beds at our main campus site to serve our community!
