Envision Physician Services is seeking Emergency Medicine Core Faculty at Ocala Regional Medical Center located in Ocala, FL. The Emergency Medicine Residency at Ocala Regional Medical Center is an ACGME accredited program.

Emergency Medicine Core Faculty will participate in the clinical and educational programs that will shape the future of Florida’s one of the newest emergency medicine residency program in partnership with the University of Central Florida (UCF) College of Medicine, having started July 2016. The UCF COM/HCA GME Consortium Emergency Medicine Residency Program has the benefit of being a new program, offering the ability to provide a cutting-edge learning environment using the latest educational ideas and theories. Clinicians with a proven interest in academic emergency medicine and education are encouraged to apply.

ED Features:

  • 44,000 annual patient visits
  • Level II Trauma Center
  • 44 hrs phys cvg + 20 hrs of APP cvg daily
  • Meditech EMR

Ocala Health System, a 2-facility health system with 430 beds; located at Ocala Regional Medical Center and West Marion Community Hospital. The Ocala Health system also include 3-free standing Emergency Departments; located in Wildwood, Summerfield and Ocala. Facilities have been consistently growing over the course of the last 5 years, having invested $210 M in capital improvements through 2018. Facility has another $60 M in construction underway to include expansion of ER, OR, and IP Bed Capacity at both facilities. Ocala Health is a high functioning Comprehensive Stroke and Level II Trauma Center, and is the only trauma center or Comprehensive Stroke Center in Marion, Hernando, Sumter and Citrus counties. The facility also leads a growing GME program in partnership with UCF.

Ocala is a remarkable town for raising a family and includes one of Florida's top elementary schools. The Ocala metro area boasts of winding community pathways that are canopied with oak trees and dangling trellises of Spanish Moss, Silver Springs - Nature's Theme Park, the Ocala National Forest, the rolling green fields of horse farms, historic districts, outstanding golf courses, friendly communities, crystal-clear rivers, and fresh-water springs. Also, the subtropical climate makes the Ocala metro area a vacation destination year-round. The Ocala metro area has a population of approximately 350,000 and is conveniently located one hour from the east and west coasts of Florida and one hour from Orlando.
