Our client, an orthopedic subspecialty group on Long Island, is hiring a Physician Assistant (PA), Pain Management and Neurology.

Job Responsibilities:

Work alongside Interventional Pain Management physicians who are certified in Anesthesia or Physical Medicine/ Rehabilitation. Treat patients with occipital neuralgia, migraine headaches (botox treatment protocols), spinal radiculopathy, spondyloarthropathies, joint arthropathies for which PA would initiate an interventional treatment plan and/or medication management. The PA often performs revisit encounters and reviews imaging/testing in order to devise a treatment plan. The physicians perform most of the interventional procedures under fluoroscopy. Common procedures include epidurals, median branch block/ radiofrequency ablation, joint steroid injections, joint viscosupplement injections, genicular/obturator nerve blocks, spinal column stimulator trial/ long term device management.
Work alongside adult and pediatric neurologists. Common conditions include ADHD, migraine headaches, dementia, concussion, TIA/CVA, neuropathy, multiple sclerosis, spinal radiculopathies as well as sleep apnea. PA would see revisit encounters daily when working within the neurology department. Procedure options also available in the form of trigger point injections or Botox injections for migraine management. During walk-in hours, the provider would see new patient encounters for sudden complaints/injuries.
Schedule: Four 10 hours shifts/week. Currently, there are no late evening or weekend hours.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree required Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant (PA) program
Licensed as a Physician Assistant (PA) in New York State
NCCPA certified

Salary: $100,000-$135,000. The posted range is not a guarantee. The actual salary will be based on qualifications, experience, and education and could fall outside of this range. Contact us for more information.
