Since opening its doors in 1984, this urgent/acute care organization has been providing the highest quality of care to residents of the Montebello area, in both clinic and hospital settings. Their fully-trained providers see walk-in patients and perform acute visits on hospital patients for non-life-threatening issues such as minor trauma (lacerations, abrasions, fractures) and acute illnesses (infections, sore throats, rashes). This is a family practice environment in which providers see patients of all ages. The practice is family-owned and has a friendly, supportive environment with very low turnover in their staff of more than 20 team members. They currently employ 2 physicians and 3 mid-level providers. This position is open due to growth.
The new physician assistant will see patients primarily in the hospital setting, with occasional clinic shifts for staff shortages, vacation coverage, etc.
The practice serves three (3) local hospitals.

See patients in a family practice and acute/urgent care capacity. Patients are of all ages. The work involves evaluation and management of non-life-threatening conditions. All patients are of a low acuity level.
There are clinical assistants and/or RNs available to support the PA at all locations.
The practice utilizes the AllScripts EHR in hospital settings and Patient Chart Manager in the clinic. Full training will be provided on both systems and providers have access to both systems from all locations.
The PAs provide weekend rounding coverage at the hospitals, as well as participate in the on-call schedule. This is coordinated collaboratively among the group's providers, with the management team being keenly aware of the importance of work/life balance.
