Vidant Medical Group and The East Carolina Heart Institute at Vidant Medical Center, in Greenville, NC, is seeking a Board Certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to assist with acute patient care of thoracic surgery patients. The successful candidate will be part of a team working with four thoracic surgeons and two thoracic APP’s, as well as general surgery residents. Job responsibilities include participation in daily patient rounds with the interdisciplinary team, admission history and physical examinations, ongoing patient assessments and post-operative patient care, as well as pre and postoperative care in the clinic. This position includes close interface with the cardiac surgery provider group - MDs and NP/PA’s. Responsibilities also include providing patient care at two Vidant Medical Group clinics - Wilson and Roanoke Rapids.

Greenville, NC is located 80 miles east of Raleigh, NC and 80 miles northwest of beautiful Atlantic Beach, NC.

East Carolina Heart Institute
The East Carolina Heart Institute at Vidant Medical Center is eastern North Carolina’s preferred facility for cardiovascular services. The six-story, 375,000-square-foot tower houses clinical space, diagnostic services and cardiovascular operating rooms, including a hybrid operating room. It features 120 beds for patients undergoing procedures for cardiac medicine, cardiac surgery and vascular surgery.
