A facility 1 hour north of Ann Arbor, Michigan needs a physician assistant to work in cardiovascular surgery as soon as possible and ongoing. Are you available?
- Local candidates only
- Dates: ASAP - ongoing
- Schedule: 7:45 AM - 5:00 PM
- Call: 5:00 PM - 8:00 AM, weeknights and weekends
- Volume: 10-15 patients per day; 95% inpatient, 5% outpatient
- Cases: pre-operative exams, suture removal, diagnose illnesses, treat illnesses, order tests, interpret tests, assist in surgery, write prescriptions, coordination of care, rounding, placement of central venous and dialysis catheters, placement of arterial lines and intra-aortic balloon pumps, retrieval of vascular tissues for bypass, endoscopic retrieval
- Support: supervising cardiothoracic surgeon, 2 physicians, 1 mid-level, 1 registered nurse, 2 registered nurse first assistants, 2 medical assistants
- Requirements: BLS, ACLS, active MI license; cardiothoracic surgery experience, ability to vein harvest
