The APP will cover the Neuro ICU and Neurovascular patients in the ICU, ED, and Floor, as well as first assist in the OR with a group of fellowship trained neurosurgeons.

Responsibilities:

• Full-time permanent position - Neurosurgery & Neuro Critical Care
• Nocturnist - 3 12 hour shifts - 7 PM to 7 AM
• Perform therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, conduct histories and physicals, order and interpret appropriate diagnostic and laboratory tests
• First assist on procedures and spinal & cranial surgeries
• Placement and removal of chest tubes, central venous and/or peripheral catheters, pulmonary arterial catheters, EVDs
• Lumbar punctures
• Formulate and implement treatment plan for acute illness management in collaboration with supervising physician

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in critical care and/or neurosurgery, neurology, or Neuro-ICU
• Georgia Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner License
• Ability to build rapport with patients and thrive in a fast-paced environment
