Tenet Healthcare and Abrazo Neuroscience Institute is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) to join the team as they build an exciting new neurosurgery program in central Phoenix. This growing practice is seeking a highly motivated individual who will be involved in management of neurosurgical patients in the inpatient and outpatient settings. This provider will collaborate with the neurosurgeons managing inpatients on the floor, in the ER and ICU. Responsibilities will include completing consultations, inpatient rounds, therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, interpreting diagnostic tests, prescription medication management, patient education, and first-assisting in the OR. Additional job duties include management of an outpatient schedule in the care of new patients, post-operative patients and follow-ups as well as coordination of surgical patient care pre-operatively. The position involves call and weekend/holiday coverage on a rotating shared schedule. As a growing neurosurgery practice, Abrazo Neuroscience Institute is looking for candidates who are compassionate, observant, willing to learn, adaptable, collaborative and those who maintain a strong work ethic. Able to give and receive feedback. Experience in neuro, neurosurgery and surgical assisting is a plus. New graduates will be considered.
