I have an Amazing Opportunity for a Neuro PA at Walter Reed in Bethesda, MD! We are offering Top-Dollar and we will relocated qualified candidates from anywhere in the US. This is a government opportunity so your license with transfer without getting recertified. You must have a minimum of 2 years recent experience treating Infants, Children, Adolescent, Adults, and Geriatric patients under 65. You must know how to assess, coordinate, facilitate, deliver and evaluate care for infant to geriatric patients using the nursing process. You must knowledge of a wide range of medical disorders/conditions, diagnostic studies and treatments related to prevention, and detection of illnesses in adults, is desirable. You must be able to operate independently and work collaboratively with physicians, residents, physician assistants and nurses in the management of complex neurosurgical problems. Performs comprehensive and problem focused histories and physical examinations, interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests. Interprets and correlates subjective and objective data. Formulates a differential diagnosis and a working diagnosis. • Develops a treatment plan for neurosurgical conditions within the scope of practice of the contract Physician Assistant. Implements therapeutic intervention for specific conditions where appropriate. • Exercises judgment on conditions requiring consultation, referral or evaluation by the supervising neurosurgeon or other healthcare professionals. • Be able to perform as first assistant on all neurosurgical procedures to include craniotomies, spinal procedures, and peripheral nerve cases. Conduct hospital rounds on all patients including intensive care units, write orders, progress notes, perform history and physicals, order appropriate laboratory.
