Physician Assistant Nurse Practitioner FOR ORTHOPAEDIC SPINE PRACTICE Peoria, Illinois
Must be able to first assist in the OR
specializing in the assessment, therapies and management of spine pain and disorders.
After significant growth we are seeking to add a Physician Assistant to our group to build out our integrated care program, specializing in spine & pain conditions.
The candidate will have a large role in the clinic including seeing new patients, diagnosing and beginning initial treatments, performing history & physicals to clear patients for surgery, treating chronic pain patients with medication management, performing in office procedures such as trigger point injections, occipital nerve blocks, shoulder/knee injections and small joint injections.
The candidate will also have a large role in the operating room as first assistant in spine surgery with the majority of the cases being on the cervical and lumbar spine.
The candidate may also have the opportunity to learn about interventional pain procedures and will also have a role in current projects and research.
The candidate will work a standard schedule of 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday – Friday, though occasional time beyond 5:00pm may be required based on surgery schedules.
The candidate will not have office hours on weekends, but will be placed in an on-call rotation.
The candidate will be based at the main clinic in Peoria, IL,
The position offers an excellent base salary, bonus compensation plan, relocation allowance, stipends for CME, licensure and malpractice coverage plus full health, dental and vision insurance and 401(k).
