Area hospital is expanding and looking to add an experienced Physician Assistant to their cardiac surgery team. The Provider will need to be versed in EVH/ERH and have a minimum of 2 years-experience in cardiothoracic/vascular surgery. Experience in robotics a plus. Position will be a mix of first assisting in the operating room, rounding on inpatients and treating patient in the clinic. No ICU responsibilities. Call is approximately 1 in 3. Responsibilities:

• First assist in the OR
• Assess patient health through interviews and physical examinations
• Provide counsel and medical treatment to patients
• Educate patients on overall wellness and health maintenance
• Develop and implement patient management plans
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a physician assistant in cardiac surgery, with EVH training.
• Familiarity with medical tools and equipment
• Ability to build rapport with patients
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
