Surgery Physician Assistant
Seeking an experienced Surgical Physician Assistant to provide surgical care to patients throughout the Hospital. As an integral part of the Surgical Services team, you will provide continuity of care for the surgical patients admitted to the ICU as well as serve as the link to the ICU Medical Director and the attending Surgeons. This position will also provide support for the Attending Surgeons on staff, respond to rapid response calls and will assist with emergency situations housewide. Certification in ACLS, expertise in endotracheal intubations, central line and dialysis catheter placement is required. Must have and maintain NCCPA certification. Candidates must be comfortable with post op management of a variety of surgical and critical care patients, including; general, oncology, bariatric, neurosurgery and subspecialties as needed.
To qualify for this position, you must be a graduate of an AMA-recognized physician assistant training program that is accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the physician assistant and must have or obtain a RI State Physician Assistant License and DEA.
Candidates should have at least 3-5 years of experience and be able to provide documentation of procedures performed.
Hours for this full time position are 7p-7a with weekend and holiday rotation.
