We are hiring an experienced nurse practitioner or physician assistant with extensive surgery experience located in Beautiful San Bernardino, CA! Work only 3-12 hours per week!

San Bernardino is east of Los Angeles and it's known for its Hot Springs, Museums, and various parks.

This position is 100% clinical, working each day seeing general surgery patients in many areas in the hospital. Primarily, the Nurse Practitioner will work with the Emergency Department patients who need general surgeries. The candidate will see new patients, do history and physicals to get patients ready for surgery, perform daily visits on these patients and discharge them. The goal is to assist the surgeon to get patients in and out of the hospital in a timely manner. There is no operating room time with this job, all of the work is patient care areas outside of the operating room.

The Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is a member of the General Surgery multidisciplinary health team providing direct patient care to General Surgery patients working within the scope of the Certified Nurse Practitioner License and hospital privileges. The NP contributes to excellence in patient care, research, teaching, consulting, and provides leadership to the organization and nursing profession.

Qualifications:

Education Required: Master's Degree in Nursing and completion of Nurse Practitioner Program Or Completion of a Physician Assistant Program

Licensure/Certification Required: California license as Advanced Nurse Practitioner including certification in relevant nursing specialty; California Nurse Practitioner Furnisher number; American Heart Association BLS.

Experience Required: Minimum 5 years experience providing acute general surgery patient care
