Opportunity for an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join a Cardiothoracic Surgery practice in central Florida. The employed candidate will work in an inpatient setting to include pre-operative consults and post surgical follow up visits in the CVICU. A minimum of one year of Cardiothoracic Surgery or Cardiovascular Disease experience is required. Vein harvesting experience required.
The practice offers state-of-the-art cardiovascular and thoracic surgery services for adult patients including Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG), Valve Repair and Replacement, aortic surgery, arrhythmia surgery, general thoracic surgery including robotic lobectomy, and a variety of vascular and endovascular procedures. Hospital is also looking to grow a Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) program (performed 22 cases in 2015). The cardiac program has been recognized as an STS 3-Star program for CABG for most of its history and consistently produces excellent patient outcomes.
