OptumCare Specialty Care is a multi-specialty group of Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants consisting of over 300 providers, fourteen clinical locations including nine health care centers, five urgent care clinics and an outpatient surgery center. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide care that is compassionate, appropriate, and effective for the treatment of pulmonary related health problems compliance with all coding and documentation requirements
  • Practice evidence-based medicine seeing patients in an outpatient setting
  • Outpatient practice involves managing the patients with chronic respiratory diseases, including asthma, emphysema, COPD, tuberculosis, lung cancer & other pulmonary disorders
  • PFT’s will be performed in the clinic by certified Respiratory Therapists (RT) under the supervision of Pulmonologist
  • No hospital work is anticipated
  • Night and weekend coverage by telephone is shared equally amongst Lung and Allergy Care Team
  • Collaboration is required with our allergist/Immunologist care team
  • Other related duties as required

Required Qualifications:

  • Advanced Nurse Practitioner Certification in Primary Care, Geriatric, Adult or Physician Assistant certification
  • Active unrestricted APRN or PA-C license in Nevada, or ability to obtain
  • DEA or ability to obtain
  • 3+ years of Pulmonary experience or 3+ years of internal medicine / primary care or allergy experience in lieu of Pulmonary experience
  • Basic technical proficiency in the use of computer programs for medical records or internet search for clinical practice

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate with patients, primary care team members and management staff
  • Ability to make care decisions based on best medical practices without direct supervision or guidance by a physician
  • Advanced assessment and treatment plan implementation skills
  • Ability to complete clinical care lifting in a provider office environment

Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Nevada residents is $87,900 to $156,900.
