New Opportunity for Pulmonology NP or PA in North Platte Nebraska. This client is seeking a perm candidate.
Start Date is as soon as contracted and credentialing. Schedule is a mix of inpatient and outpatient: APP’s will rotate between.

Inpatient Schedule: Typical week is Monday – Friday hospital rounds evaluating pulmonary and critical care patients as consulted. These include new consults and progress notes on patients in ICU as well as acute care and medical/surgical care.

Outpatient Schedule: Clinic is Monday – Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. with time allowance of one – half day for administrative time/charting

Call Schedule: Expectation of one weekend of first call per month with provider available for consultation; participate in call in conjunction with provider; meet daily consults on in-patient units and hospital ER

EMR: EPIC

Additional Details:
- Currently have one full time physician and one Nurse Practitioner with opening for second Advanced Practice Provider.
- It is anticipated the APP will grow to evaluate consults with minimal oversight by the physician, allowing the physician to expand access in the outpatient clinic setting for additional new and follow up patient visits.
- APP’s may assist with telehealth outreach clinics
- Staff available: Full-time Office Manager, 1 full-time RN, full-time CNA, dedicated office assistant for scheduling
- How long is the wait for an appointment: 2 months for new patient appointments in the outpatient clinic setting

ABOUT THE NEED:
Areas of focus include chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, smoking cessation and treatment of critically ill adult patients. In addition, GPH Pulmonology participates in clinical trials for medication treatments in both the inpatient and outpatient settings

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
● Certification as a NP/PA
● 2+ years’ experience in Pulmonology

Outgoing; build referrals
Provides post-care phone calls as needed
Support the provider in outreach clinic when needed
