Job Description

Our client is seeking a Pulmonology Nurse Practitioner in Sacramento, California. Join a group that is dedicated to implementing inventive solutions that assist providers with focusing on patient care. The primary focus of the Nurse Practitioner is to perform comprehensive pulmonary medical assessments, order appropriate tests, formulate treatment plans, obtain specialists’ consultations as needed, and document appropriately.

Details:

  • Permanent, full-time position
  • Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
  • Provide pulmonary medical care to various patient levels
  • Perform comprehensive evaluations including history and physical exams
  • Address both chronic and acute primary care complaints
  • Establish reasonable medical diagnoses
  • Diagnose conditions within scope of practice
  • Seek specialty consultation as appropriate after completing appropriate work up
  • Order pertinent diagnostic laboratory and radiology testing
  • Discuss unusual or unclear symptoms or results with supervising physician in a timely manner
  • Accept feedback and direction from supervisor
  • Create and implement a medical plan of care
  • Perform diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures within level of training
  • Prescribe medication as appropriate
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate clinic hours
  • No call or weekends required

Qualifications

  • One year of pulmonary or acute care experience
  • RN and Nurse Practitioner license in California
  • Certification as an Adult Nurse Practitioner or Family Nurse Practitioner
  • Possession of a furnishing license
  • Possession of state and federal Controlled Substance Registration
  • BLS certification
  • Valid TB test within the past 12 months
