Located in a superb geographic location, just 45 minutes northwest of Charlotte and an hour east of Asheville. Lakefront living is possible within a 10-15 minute drive of the hospital. The highest mountains of the eastern US and 4 ski resorts are within a 1 hour drive. The famed beaches of North and South Carolina are an easy 4-5 hour drive away.

The population is about 50,000, and serves as the center of the 4th largest metropolitan statistical area in NC with the medical community serving a population of well over 400,000. The area has many amenities without the traffic and hassles of a large city.
