Job Description
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner needed to join an expert team in Elk Grove, California. The primary focus of the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner is to provide the highest level of compassionate care, general medication management services, and brief psychotherapy to patients.
Details:
- Permanent, full-time position
- Progressive, thriving medical practice
- Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation therapy services provided to patients
- Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations
- Evaluate mental status, current psychiatric symptoms and functioning, and psychiatric health histories
- Provide treatment plans in accordance with standardized procedures
- Dispense psychotropic medications and short-term therapies to treat mental health conditions
- Administer brief psychotherapeutic interventions in conjunction with evaluation and management services
- Monitor and continuously improve patient outcomes
- Maintain timely and accurate charting utilizing EHR
- Establish and maintain positive and professional relationships

Qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher from an accredited psychiatric nurse practitioner program
- License in the state of California
- Two years of experience working in an ambulatory mental health clinic or private psychiatric practice preferred
- Expertise of EHR systems
