POSITION:
The Behavioral Health Services (BHS) Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) OR Physician's Assistant (PA) provides direct patient care services and performs medical acts as a Nurse Practitioner under the supervision of the supervisory physician to patients requiring psychiatric evaluation and management on an outpatient basis or in the satellite office as part of the Behavioral Health Services Department
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Work requires completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant program. Master’s degree required the requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Work requires 2 years of experience. However preference is a minimum of 4 years experience in the clinical care of patients with mental health disorders.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Current Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant license to practice in North Carolina. Current NC Drivers License.
