Physician Assistant Nurse Practitioner Lewisville, TX (30 min N of Dallas)

We are looking for a motivated Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our medical practice full time in Lewisville, TX. Ideally, our PA/NP has experience in a primary care setting, has knowledge of physical and functional medicine, is self-confident and empathetic, and is excited to help their patients in their health journey. Also, we’d like the incoming practitioner to have experience with weight loss and hormone replacement therapy. We are seeking a team player who can also work independently while under the supervision of a physician. This position allows for practitioner autonomy in patient-directed care with the PA/NP dictating patient treatments.

Our team is highly experienced, and we recognize a need for an integrative, collaborative approach to health care in which providers from different specialties work together for the benefit of each patient. With our teams extensive training and experience, we provide family medicine services including an on-site lab, on-site digital X-rays, and diagnostic ultrasound technology.

Duties:

  • Primary Care, Family Practice, and Physical Medicine patient care
  • Perform physical examinations and medical histories (review pertinent records)
  • Order and interpret laboratory results and other diagnostic tests.
  • Chart notes in EMR system.
  • Create treatment plan that may include medicine management, supplementations, nutrition, dietary plans, etc in accordance with the patients' needs
  • Perform various joint and trigger-point injections, medical weight loss, hormone therapy, and other ancillary services. (various procedural training from licensed practitioners is available )
  • Provide telehealth appointments when appropriate during normal clinic scheduled hours
  • Attend and perform regular team meetings to collaborate patient care plans in order to ensure the best care possible.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team, medical doctors, and support staff for comprehensive patient care

Requirements:

  • Advanced degree as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
  • Must possess all relevant current Texas licenses, DEA license, and National Board Certifications with no current or pending disciplinary actions.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, including but not limited to performing CPR and operating an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
  • Experience with basic desktop software and eClinicalWorks EHR preferred
  • Minimum of two years of medically relevant experience or equivalent preferred
  • Once trained, be able to work autonomously without on-site supervision
  • Experience performing certain ancillary therapeutic procedures described above is preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Ability to both speak and write Spanish preferred but not mandatory.

Schedule:

  • Full time
  • Mon- Friday with Fridays ending at 12

Salary (range):

  • $120,000 - $125,000
