NURSE PRACTITIONERS: Join this busy established two-physician Peds practice with a great reputation throughout the Uintah Basin. The practice offers an opportunity to ramp up quickly and enjoy a robust practice.
The only Peds practice in Vernal, Dinosaurland Pediatrics, was founded 16 years ago; Dr. Daniel Kwak joined in 2009 and has owned it since 2014. Known for his upbeat personality as well as excellent clinical skills, Dr. Kwak is highly regarded in the area.
The practice:
- Visit volume is about 25-35 patients/day
- Practice hours are Mon-Fri 9am-7pm (with staggered shifts); Saturday 9am-12pm (one provider)
- NP will rotate weekends at the clinic and participate in hospital Peds call coverage
- The clinical support staff includes CNAs and MAs
- The office, which has 14 exam rooms shared by the providers, is located in a Medical Office Building attached to Ashley Regional Medical Center in Vernal

Ashley Regional is nearing completion of a $35M expansion and renovation project that saw the 2018 opening of a brand new Women's Center with spacious, modern LDRP and post-partum rooms as well as a new C-Section room and Level II NICU. Women and families are flocking to the new facility. The medical community in Vernal includes the following physician specialties: Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, OBGYN, Pediatrics (including a Neonatologist), Hospitalists, Orthopedics, General Surgery, ENT, Physical Medicine and Rehab, Anesthesia, Podiatry and Neurology. We also have visiting Ophthalmologists and Cardiologists.
Vernal, UT, is a community of 13,000+ (with a medical service area three times that size) located in northeastern Utah, just over three hours from Salt Lake City.
