Seeking a full time Physician Assistant Denton, TX 76210

We are looking for a PA with general surgery/ neurosurgery/ spine experience.

The position is only elective outpatient surgical cases with OR three days a week and independent clinic two days a week. There is no weekend, night, or holiday call.

Salary at $125,000 plus quarterly production bonus average about $3,500 per quarter

ideal candidate and specialty preferred: Board Certified with PA-C, with prior experience in a surgical position, salary will be commensurate with experience.

Independent clinic (side by side with physician) from 8 am – 5 pm on Monday and Friday. Will be seeing new patient evaluations, follow up patients, medical management patients, and providing post operative care. Responsible for contemporaneous documentation of only own patient encounters in EMR. Will be first assisting in surgery from 7:30 am – 5 pm Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. No hospital rounds, no operative dictation, no after hour responsibility other than phone triage of occasional patient phone call. No night surgery. No emergency room call. No weekend expectation.

Bonus compensation: will vary depending on experience

Vacation: 3 Weeks in addition to major holidays off and compensated.

Other benefits: Production bonus calculated quarterly for qualified applicants.

Practice Type: Primary endocrine surgery (thyroid and parathyroid surgery). Practice also cares for low income breast cancer patients (mastectomy, breast biopsy, Mediport) and occasional outpatient general surgery (hernia and laparoscopic cholecystectomy). Practice has the expectation that they will train PA in use of surgical ultrasound. Ability to suture proficiency required.

Support personnel: Front office staff to schedule all appointments, handle all insurance precertification, and patient financial responsibility. Registered nurse for support of PA and assistance with phone triage and communication of patient results. Surgeon is available on site at all times to assist PA as needed.
