Opportunity:
An exceptional opportunity in ENT, providing medical care to patients in collaboration with a physician in the clinic following established standards and practices. A nationally recognized, award-winning healthcare organization comprised of a community hospital and a multi-specialty group with approximately 90 providers. Details:
-The practice is comprised of 1 part-time Otolaryngologist
-Approximately 4000 clinic visits per year with opportunity for growth
-Robust Primary Care referral base
-27 Patient contact hours per week with flexibility
-No on-call requirement
Job Responsibilities:
-Conduct comprehensive or episodic health history and physical assessment of patients/families with acute, chronic and/or potential health problems
-Establish medical diagnoses
-See patients in follow-up for routine post-op care and manage complications related to surgery
-Provide appropriate direction to clinic staff regarding patient care issues
-Communicate effectively with referring health care providers
-Complete pre-operative work-ups and post-operative visits and discharge planning
-Perform routine clinical procedures as outlined in scope of practice to include, but not limited to:
-Binocular Ear Microscopy
-Removal of Cerumen Impaction
-Nasal Cautery
-Rigid Nasal Endoscopy
-Flexible Diagnostic Laryngoscopy
Qualifications:
-Nurse Practitioner: Masters degree in Nursing with a Nurse Practitioner focus required.
-Certification as a Nurse Practitioner by the ANA preferred with specialty certification from ANCC.
-Must obtain prescriptive authority within six months of certification.
-Wisconsin RN licensure required.
-Two-year nurse practitioner experience, preferred.
-Excellent communication and organizational skills required. Strong team-oriented mindset preferred.
