Our World Class Hospital with state of the art technology located in Boston, MA is seeking a Vascular Ultrasound Technologist III. The candidate will assist the Vascular Ultrasound Lab Supervisor managing other skilled Vascular Ultrasound technicians and perform a vast variety of ultrasound procedures. The candidate will also have the opportunity to work some of the nation’s most brilliant and diverse healthcare professionals who value leadership and participation.

Schedule 8 am- 4:30 pm M-F, No weekends! Candidate will ONLY perform vascular ultrasound procedures!

Our accredited Vascular Laboratory provides patients with a full range of non-invasive diagnostic services for all vascular conditions including: Ultrasound (duplex) imaging of carotid arteries to determine the presence of significant carotid artery blockage, Assessment ofperipheral artery disease(PAD), Evaluation forabdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA), Deep venous thrombosis(DVT) testing and treatment, Varicose veinstesting and treatment, Spider veins treatment and Ultrasound (duplex) to detect blockages of the renal (kidney) arteries.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists with the daily operations of the vascular laboratory
  • Coordinates work schedule with Supervisor/Director and/or scheduling desk to assure workload coverage
  • Performs clinical assessment and diagnostic vascular laboratory examinations.
  • Uses cognitive sonographic skills to identify and record appropriate anatomical, pathological, and diagnostic images.
  • Responsible for the safety, mental and physical comfort of patients while in the technologist/sonographers care.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Vocational or Technical training in Vascular Technology
  • Bachelor’s degree in Vascular Technology
  • Must have 5-8 years of hands on work experience
  • BLS certification. Candidates will have 30 days to provide certification.
  • Experience with computer systems.
