Job Summary:
Progresses patients care based upon medical criteria for in-patient status. Manages care and resources to reduce unnecessary utilization, facilitates outpatient testing and follow-up when appropriate and collaborates in the development and implementation of performance improvement activities in collaboration with care management, physicians, and utilization management.

Education - Required:
  • Master's Degree MSN or Physician Assistant


Experience - Required:
  • 5 years in-patient acute care hospital.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Required:
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) required to facilitate reviews and discussions with providers.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Preferred:
  • Knowledge of care and utilization management.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills to manage case load and communicate with multi-disciplinary team members.
  • Ability to work independently and set priorities to ensure appropriate use of hospital resources.
  • Ability to lead individuals and groups.


Licensure - Required:
  • Registered Nurse PA License Upon Hire
  • Physician Assistant

Licensure - Preferred:

  • CRNP - Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner
