Physician Assistant - Orthopedics

APPLYTO PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT - ORTHOPEDICS

Our Clinic is hiring a dynamic and experienced physician assistant to join our growing practice in NORTH,GA.

The PA will be responsible for assessing patient health by interviewing patient; performing physical examinations; obtaining, updating, and studying medical histories. Determines abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests and interpreting test results.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  1. Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced, high productivity environment
  2. Possesses knowledge of anatomy and physiology, pharmacology and therapeutics.
  3. Possesses knowledge of medical equipment and instruments used to administer patient care
  4. Possesses knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to maintain a safe working environment
  5. Ability to provide patient education in a one on one setting to further treatment plan
  6. Ability to work alongside physician to administer patient care in the office and surgical settings

JOB DUTIES:

1. Assess patient clinically by obtaining health history through patient consultation and chart review; assesses presenting injury/problem area and performs appropriate physical examination
2. Orders appropriate diagnostic screening tests. Seeks other information as needed including consultation with physicians and other clinicians for evaluation. Integrates data to determine diagnosis and therapeutic plan, including identification of any health risks.
3. Develops and implements treatment plan by prescribing/dispensing medications and/or injections in compliance with medical practice guidelines and state laws. Educate patient regarding treatment plan.
4. Work alongside physician and assist in patient care, including surgical assisting and call coverage.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Masters or Doctorate Level degree
  2. Training in orthopedic care is a plus
  3. Must be able to get a GEORGIA state license
  4. Epic experience – if possible
