**Position Details**
- Full-time

- Seeking a board certified Physician Assistant
- Diagnose and treat patients with acute and chronic conditions as well as serving as a consultant and educator.
- Performing patient history and physical examinations, diagnostic testing, test interpretation, treatment, patient follow up and education on managing acute and chronic health problems.
- The PA promotes collaboration between the multiple disciplines to ensure cost effective and quality patient care. '
- The PA will make referrals to physicians and other healthcare providers, document assessment, management, and education clearly and concisely within the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Additionally, the PA is the first assistant in surgery and will performs first assist duties, including ensuring all needed equipment and supplies are present.
- The PA will conduct Post-op visits, write orders in the recovery room, talk with family and, performs post-op procedures and more.
- The PA will dictate discharge summaries, writes prescriptions, explains discharge instructions, and confirms follow-up appointments, as well as monitor, record and report systems or changes in patients condition.
**Qualifications**
- Completion of an accredited PA program required.
- Two (2) years practice in an Orthopedic Practice preferred.
**Licensure/Certification/Registration:**
- Current licensure as a Physician Assistant in the State of South Carolina in good standing (SCLLR) required.
- Basic Life Saving (BLS) Certification required.
- Board Certified
