OPEN POSITION:

Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner - Orthopedic Urgent Care



SCHEDULE:

- Full-Time or Part-Time

- Flexible Options



OFFICE HOURS:

- 7 Days per Week

- 12:00pm to 10:00pm



COMPENSATION:

- $125,000 to $150,000 Annual Base Salary, dependent upon experience

COMPANY PROFILE:

This is a fast-paced, urgent care style clinic, catering to the stressful, painful needs of orthopedic injuries. They are open 7 days per week through evening hours. They combine modern technology with traditional techniques, treating patients for the long-term in an expeditious manner.



POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The new provider will work autonomously, as an experienced orthopedics provider.


​The practice sees an average of 2 to 3 patients per hour; this number is adjusted based upon type of appointment scheduled and patient need.


There is always a clinical assistant available to prep/room patients and help as needed.


This is outpatient orthopedic care. There are no surgical components.


The new provider will manage orthopedic patient care including, but not limited to:


- perform comprehensive physical examinations

- compile relevant past/present medical health histories

- diagnosis injuries

- create comprehensive treatment plans

- order diagnostic tests

- interpret test results for deviations from normal

- perform therapeutic procedures such as injections, suturing, and wound care

- perform appropriate splinting, casting, and/or dispersal of DME

- develop and implement patient management plans

- record progress notes

- assist in the provision of continuity of care

- instruct and counsel patients regarding compliance with prescribed regimens, DME, etc.


The new provider will be a clinical "face" for the organization, participating in and leading injury prevention seminars at local athletic facilities. This includes participating in marketing and promotional events.


The practice utilizes the AdvancedMD EHR system.


There are no on-call duties.



REQUIREMENTS:

- California PA or NP license

- DEA

- flouroscopy permit or ability to obtain within 6 months of start date

- at least 1 year of advanced practice orthopedics experience
