A thriving private orthopedic practice in Northern Illinois is seeking a physician assistant to join their growing team! This position is full-time, working one-on-one with a board-certified total joints specialist, and features a mix of clinic and first-assisting in the OR with occasional inpatient rounding. Ideal candidates with have at least 1-2 years of orthopedics experience, however exceptional recent graduates with applicable rotations will also be considered. Responsibilities:

Full-time orthopedics position, specializing in total joints
-
50/50 OR/Clinic split - 2 1/2 days of OR first-assist, 2 1/2 days of clinic per week

Very light call schedule - 1 in every 6 weekends

Work autonomously in clinic setting

Administer injections, immunizations and other medical procedures

Assess patient health through interviews and physical examinations

Develop and implement patient management plans
Qualifications:
-
Previous experience in orthopedics or another surgical specialty preferred

Exceptional new graduates with orthopedics rotations will also be considered

Active Illinois PA License
-
Active DEA License
-
BLS/ACLS

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
