Job Summary:

• Must be board certified
• Must hold or be able to obtain an active Florida Medical License prior to start
• Be able to work various shifts between 7:00 am to 5:00 pm M-F; occasional weekends may be required
• Round on patients and communicate with the attending surgeons to coordinate care
• Perform patient history and physicals
• Order and interpret laboratory tests and x-rays and provide diagnosis test and therapies
• Perform medical treatment and diagnostic procedures
• Perform minor surgical procedures
• Instruct and counsel patients on treatment plans
• Preoperative and postoperative care
• Act as liaisons between supervising doctors to the other medical providers
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with many different surgeons who follow different protocols
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to assist with bedside procedures and scrub in to cases if requested; training will be provided as necessary
