Physician Assistant Fairfield, NJ (12 miles NW of Newark)

We are looking for a compassionate and energetic Physician Assistant to join our urgent care center group full time in Fairfield, NJ. You will find a supportive and welcoming team to work alongside you within our fast-moving Urgent Care Center. The provider will be required to see and treat a wide variety of health care issues in patients of all ages in our busy facility.

We provide services such as, physical exams, pediatric care, onsite labs, x-rays and diagnostic imaging, immunizations, occupational health, and treatment of acute/unexpected injuries and illnesses. We offer affordable care with minimal wait times, advanced technology diagnostics, licensed professionals, and supportive staff in our state-of-the-art facilities.

Duties:

  • Performs and documents history and physicals of walk-in patients
  • Evaluates and treats common acute conditions, illnesses, or minor trauma
  • Performs in-office minor procedures
  • Orders X-rays and review and other diagnostic tests as needed
  • Consistently and accurately documents all calls, treatments, medications, etc. in patient chart
  • Instructs and counsels patients regarding diagnosis and follow up steps
  • Responds to all patient questions
  • Assists physicians in addressing urgent patient needs as necessary
  • Collaboration with the physicians, midlevel providers, and support staff for comprehensive care
  • Performs other duties/projects as assigned

Requirements:

  • Physician Assistant Degree graduating from an Accredited Program
  • Unrestricted License in NJ
  • Prefer 1 year experience in Urgent Care but will also accept ER and Family Med experience
  • Must be able to treat patients of all ages
  • Must be CPR certified (or able to obtain prior to start)

Salary: Full-time

  • $70-$100 per hour (DOE)
