Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Orthopedic/Spine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their team in Mountain View, California. The primary focus of the Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is to provide exceptional, coordinated patient care.

Santa Clara County is an area of Silicon Valley, located just north of San Jose and south of San Francisco. This thriving area offers many options of eateries, outdoor activities, and entertainment including notable sports teams. Some of the most tech-savvy companies reside in the area creating a diverse and technology driven atmosphere.

Details:

  • Permanent, full-time position
  • Full-time is 36 patient contact hours
  • Three clinic days and two operating room days
  • Provide surgical services as a first assistant for orthopedic cases in the operating room
  • Assist supervising Physician with patient rounding including weekday and weekends
  • Inpatient duties include initial assessment, documentation in EHR, dictation of discharge summary, clarifying treatment and/or discharge planning
  • Occasionally assist in evaluating and managing patients in the Emergency Room and on surgical floor at the request of the supervising Physician
  • EMR: Epic

Qualifications

  • Board Certified
  • Valid California Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
  • Current BLS for Healthcare Providers (AHA) required
  • Current DEA License required
  • CAPA Controlled Substance Certification preferred
  • ACLS preferred
  • Orthopedic Spine Surgery or Neurosurgery experience is preferred but, not required
  • Minimum 1 year of Orthopedic experience as a provider OR minimum 10 years of Orthopedic experience in a relevant capacity
