Physician Assistant (Surgical- OR) Secaucus, NJ

We are looking for a Physician Assistant to join our hospital based Surgical group full time in Secaucus, NJ. We are a well-established, multi-specialty group, and we are looking to hire a licensed and certified Surgical PA . This is a rewarding opportunity with unlimited growth potential! Copious clinical and administrative support and resources. The provider will mainly be assisting in orthopedic and spine surgical cases with some OB/GYN and general surgical procedures and providing pre- and post-surgical care for the patients while in the hospital.

Primary Job responsibilities:

  • Surgical floor: Admitting, rounding, and discharging surgical patients
  • Performs comprehensive and problem-focused histories and physical examinations
  • Diagnoses and treats illnesses and injuries
  • Orders and interprets laboratory and radiographic studies
  • Educates and counsels patients on diagnosis, pre- and post-surgical limitations/follow up
  • Documentation, daily progress notes, and discharge documents
  • Collaborates with surgical/medical team to create treatment plan for patients
  • OR: First Assist Mainly orthopedic and spine surgical cases. Some OB/GYN and general procedures

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant Program Program
  • Physician Assistant Certified (PA-C)
  • Active PA New Jersey license
  • Prefer Orthopedic/Spine First Assist experience

Schedule:

  • 12-hour Shifts (rotating schedule Monday-Saturday)
