Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center located in beautiful Northeast Florida is actively seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our distinguished cancer medicine faculty in the department of Cancer Medicine in our Inpatient medical/ hematological oncology department. Qualifications

  • Master of Science
  • Certified ARNP/PA
  • Licensed ARNP/PA
  • Oncology/ hospitalist experience preferred
  • Available to begin mid-January


Responsibilities

Inpatient: The APP will work in collaboration with our Baptist MD Anderson medical/hematological oncology consultant. The APP is responsible for inpatient rounding on patients with solid tumor and hematologic malignancies in the acute setting. Providing assistance in consultations of new patients to the medical oncology/ hematology service as well as patients direct admitted for inpatient chemotherapy, timely collaboration with admitting hospitalist physicians, coordination of discharge and follow up in the outpatient clinic, and eventual management of future bone marrow transplant patients. Primary location will be at our Downtown Campus but may also include our South Campus or other locations as needed.

· Hours: 7 on / 7 off

· Night and Weekend call: Participation with physicians in weekend rounding of both Baptist Downtown and Baptist South inpatients, required 1 weekend per month; Potential for future night home call
