Optum is looking for a full-time, Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our team in the Los Angeles/Orange County area. Position Details

The Employee Health advance care practitioner functions as a clinical expert in the Employee Health setting and focuses on direct employee health care, the theory and practice of employee health and well-being maintenance, and the assessment, treatment, and management of ailments facing workers, including occupational injuries, illnesses, and exposures. The Advance Care Practitioner understands Occupational Health Care Management processes which assesses, plans, implements, coordinates, monitors, and evaluates the options, services, and Employee Health programs required to meet an individual's health needs, using communication and available resources to promote quality, cost-effective outcomes. Must promote all areas of Employee Health Services.

  • Monday thru Friday, 8am -5pm, no nights, weekends or call
  • Performing occupational health/medical management work and health screenings for internal employees only
  • A portion of this position is administrative in nature with the desire for this candidate to grow within the organization into corporate leadership
  • Work from home but will need to travel on occasion to visit different locations throughout Los Angeles and Orange county
  • Excellent support from specialists and administrative staff
  • Primary area of responsibility for this position is the Los Angeles/Orange County area

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience or more working in an occupational health setting as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • Infectious or communicable disease experience or training
  • Telehealth experience
  • Unrestricted and active CA Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant License
  • Current CA DEA certificate required prior to start date
  • Current association certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
