Description: Our client, a 500+ bed major teaching hospital, is seeking a Physician Assistant, OB/GYN. The Physician Assistant, OB/GYN will assist in the following services: Prenatal, GYN Surgery, Infertility, Colposcopy, Adolescent and Women s Health Services and urogyncology oncology clinic.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, diagnose and provide prenatal care to uncomplicated pregnant patients.
• Treat routine medical problems common to pregnancy.
• Diagnose and treat gynecologic problems (abnormal uterine bleeding, amenorrhea, vaginal infections, sexually transmitted diseases, menopause, etc.).
• Make appropriate referrals for complicated gyn patients requiring surgery.
• Serve as a primary care provider for the Women s Health Service Clinic, by providing a full range of diagnostic services and treatment to common primary health care problems encountered by pregnant women and non-pregnant women.
• May assist with training and orientation of residents/students from various departments. To assist on the inpatient management of OB/GYN patient.
• Surgically assist in minimally invasive and open gynecologic surgical procedures.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program.
• Certified in primary care and or surgical care by the NCCPA.
• Valid NYS medical license.
