Join a thriving and enjoyable OB/GYN practice in Columbus, GA who is looking for a Certified Nurse Midwife to provide women's health care for both gynecologic and obstetric patients.
We are a well-established practice with over 20 years of midwifery service. Our midwives work with 7+ supportive OBGYN physicians in a new Women’s Hospital. Our building has on-site ultrasound, lab, and mammogram services. There is always a physician on-site available for consultation and collaboration. We attend 300+ births per year with a primary C-section rate less than 10%. We serve a diverse population of women including a large number of military families. Our community is supportive of midwifery care and we provide independent and collaborative care to women throughout the childbearing cycle for family planning and gynecologic needs. Schedule would include about 8 days of hospital call/month and 2 clinical days in the office/week.
Minimum Education: Completion of post-graduate midwifery program accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education (ACME) required.
Required Skills: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Certifications: Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM), NRP certification
Licenses: Licensed as a Midwife in the State of Georgia, GA DEA License
