JOB SUMMARY:

Hospital is looking for an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (registered Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) who is eager to join our hospitalist team on our nocturnal shift. Our hospital medicine practice consists of clinical care, teaching & education, and system and quality improvements in two environments: Regional Hospital and Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF). We are partnered with a SNF to provide transitional and primary care to those residents for whom the hospitalist is responsible. The ideal candidate will have varied acute care skills in addition to an interest in working with skilled nursing, transitional care, and/or geriatrics.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Training: Must be a graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.

Experience: Able to work independently but also team oriented. Three years of hospital and ICU experience is preferred.

License/Registration: Must hold licensure as either a registered professional nurse and be certified as a Nurse Practitioner, or as a Physician Assistant in the state of Washington. Must have or obtain certification in Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Those applying should have current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration and current Prescriptive Authority approval by state of Washington. The successful candidate should have the ability to relate and communicate well with the elderly, be able to work collaboratively with physicians and other health care providers.
